Do we help out of care, or in the hope that
when we need
someone will be there?

though there may be situations when you may do something for a person expecting something in return...or wen you are duty bound to care; in such a case you don't necessarily do it out of genuine feeling but out of obligation.

u do good coz u expect people to do the same... even a false appreciation is a nice incentive...
